Florida Atlantic University – Davie West Joint‐Use Facility

*Experience of Beth McKeown

The LEED® Gold Certified Davie West Joint‐Use Facility was designed to be the signature building on Florida Atlantic University’s west end of the Davie, Florida campus. In order to achieve this goal, the design needed to represent the future of the University by combining University of Florida research and FAU education under one roof. The interior design of the offices, classrooms, state‐of‐the‐art research and teaching labs utilized the both school’s blue color as a base for the color palette and was combined with complimenting earth tones for an overall warm organic feel with contrasting geometric details.
